REOPENING SCHOOLS SURVEYS

Employee Survey

Parent/Guardian Survey

Student Survey

Planning is well underway for the 2020-21 school year. COVID-19 has presented a number of challenges, and our commitment to a safe learning environment for students and employees means school may look much different this fall. As a team, we continue to discuss a variety of topics including:

Models for the school day
Accessible learning for all students
Bus and car transportation and schedules
Increased cleaning protocols and safety equipment
Modified classroom setups and operations to maximize social distancing
“Traffic management” for front offices, cafeterias, libraries, hallways, and other multi-use areas

A key step in our planning is to seek feedback from our stakeholders. The Clarendon County School District One Reopening Schools Task Force is conducting a survey of students, parents, and employees in an attempt to understand how our stakeholders feel regarding the possibilities of our return to teaching and learning in the fall. In the event Governor McMaster allows South Carolina school districts to make their own decisions regarding the opening of schools in August 2020, we ask that you share your concerns and priorities with us by taking a few minutes to complete this survey.

We will continue to monitor current and available data about COVID-19. This information, along with health and safety guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), and other agencies will be very important in planning for the eventual reopening of our schools. Thank you for working with us to help ensure a safe environment for all.
